Fuel is expensive in Big Sur, and available only during normal business hours at some locations. Diesel is not available. Consider filling your fuel tank in Monterey or Carmel (when traveling south) or in Paso Robles or Cambria (when traveling north). Propane refills are available at some fuel stations.
